401 turning west at Durand at 1158. CN SD75I, CN SD75I, CN C40-8, IC SD70, CN SD70M-2, IC Blue Dash 8, BCOL Blue Dash 9.Extremely long.

Train 251 is rolling NB past MP 22.5 at 12:23 pm with two CN 2800's as power and head-end cars for Pontiac. Shorter train than usual today.

The two "blue" locomotives you report were the sole power on 251 yesterday. I wonder if they are keeping 251 at Pontiac now when it arrives and combining it with 401 to fill it out? David Lang can keep an eye out for us on this hypothesis.

And David, I missed your question about Train 515. It has mostly loads going south out of Pontiac for industries on the Holly and Mount Clemens subs. Boxcars for a waste paper company in Royal Oak or Ferndale (maybe these are empties southbound), centerbeams full of wood products for a distribution center at 7 Mile in Detroit on the MC Sub plus tank cars and covered hoppers for another company or two at 8 Mile in Warren. That is as far as it goes up the MC Sub (about three miles). Lately it has had a big interchange with Conrail at North Yard (CR)/East Yard (CN) in Detroit with a lot of coiled steel cars (loads dropping off at CR, empties taking back to Pontiac) among other type of freight. Plus it may have a few cars for the Detroit Connecting Railroad to drop at at East Yard and pick up on the way back to Pontiac as the interchange is there. As reported, it has recently has as many as 60 cars one or both of the ways but usually around 20 to 30, so it is a very busy local.

251 parked in Pontiac on JP51 track. No crew. Power shut down. Yard job switching at the north end. Looks like classifying 401 or 402’s set off.

Eb rack train by 205 at 1600 with 2 cn. The very last rack has an incredible mural on the south side. It's the grinch with the dog and cindy lou who for anyone who's into that kinda stuff.

Train 514 with 5413 and 5340 again just went SB light past MP 22.5 at 5:42 pm.

SB went past MP 22.5 out around 5:30 am out ahead of Amtrak 351 this morning. Didn't get up to see it.

Wb manifest by 205 at 1011 with 4 cn. A string of loaded coil cars with no hoods and a bunch of empty frame flats of interest in the train

NB passing MP 22.5 at 10:18 am with a 3000 GE leading a 2800 and 2900 GE. Mostly mixed freight and very few autoracks. So not sure if this is an early 251 or late 401. More of a 401 from the lack of autoracks but I am guessing the auto traffic is slowing down with the plants closed. Looked like a lot of cars on the headend for Pontiac. Shorter train.
