Thanks. I should’ve included a question mark as I was wondering where it was.

At 9:04am today I had heard on the on-line CSX West scanner a DD at mp 31.1 reporting 340 axles on Main 1, no footage or other train info was transmitted. The DD's radio message was not formatted like those I hear for the CSX Grand Rapids & Lansing sub-divisions & has me wondering if I had heard this DD reporting from the NS Detroit sub-division? From some old info I have, it shows a DD at mp 25.2 west of Belleville, was this maybe replaced by the DD at mp 31.1? Is there a time table for this NS territory available on the internet? Thank you for any info you can provide.

I would say with the weather that's moving in there's a high likelihood of band openings today. I haven't been listening to my scanner feed in lansing today but its not unusual to hear the Garrett line radio traffic and occasionally cn in Wisconsin. If you can find a current map of temperatures see where the lines of temperature differences or cold fronts lead to and what along the path is on that frequency. I have effectively communicated on a similar radio frequency over 600 miles. The stronger the cold front the better the chance of long distance stuff coming in.

ok, my error, I went back thru the radio archives again & it did identify itself as being CSX. I'm searching the web for a NS time table still.
Found NS 2008 Lake Division Time table that includes Chicago & Detroit: http://www.multimodalways.org/docs/rail ... 4-2008.pdf
