Crews are unloading thousands more new ties at the south end of Boardman yard as I type this, and being curious, I drove down to Beacon Recycling. There I found track machinery parked on the siding across the main from the Beacon siding. This siding was last used probably 8 years ago when Grand Rapids Sash and Door received a few box cars and bulkhead flat cars before closing shop. So I'm not sure what GLC is doing, but I'll watch and report. Many, many 5 gallon metal buckets right near the crossing too.

Lots more track machinery being unloaded. This is a different contractor for this Grawn line rehab: Acme Railroad Construction.
