Train 515 with IC 6200 SB past MP 22.5 at 9:40 am.

They are working at both the Woodward crossing in Pontiac and around Opdyke Road just south of there at MP 22.5 today. Not sure what is going on but all trains are in communication with the crews as they go by.

Train 116 SB past MP 22.5 at 10:40 am with two CN as power and mixed freight at the front and rear today.

A Hulcher (sp) work train with a cowled geep on one end and a control cab car on the other with a half dozen gondolas and a front end loader in them is picking up sticks out behind my house at MP 22.5 at 1 pm and is working its way south on the Holly.

Train 515 passed MP 22.5 at 4:17 pm on its way back to Pontiac.

L533S met M384 at MOUNT siding at 15:45. 384 with 155 cars had every major crossing in the area blocked while they waited for 533 to get into town. Not at all sure why they didn't schedule that meet for HAVEN out in the cornfields, thus avoiding the mess - but I'm sure they had their reasons...

And the abnormalities continue on Mt. Clemens Subdivision for 2019. Strange meets/planning, trains running off their normal "schedule" (both early and late), etc. I wonder why this is. Maybe as the months progress things will be more normal or regulatory? :?

Yes, it's been a little different for sure. With regard to trains running off their normal schedules, I believe that 382/383 had their crew calls changed, and what you are seeing now is the new normal. 384/385 seem to usually be running pretty close to their old schedules again, although todays 384 was quite early. Been a ton of extras running as well, along with 271 (repositioning train for Flat Rock) appearing almost daily. 533S/533N fairly close to normal times through MTC. Lots of major track work scheduled for this summer - may throw things off for a spell too.

It will definitely be interesting to see how things progress over the next few months. I'm hoping this summer I can get out more and see for myself what's going on. It has been nice to see/hear about 382/383 running more in the daylight, as they've been mostly night trains the past few years. Hopefully, it'll be good rail-fanning for us to witness!

271 was southbound thru Mt. Clemens around 10pm. 533 was coming up to Milwaukee Junction, who will run ahead of 384 north toward Tappan.

385 is in Port Huron, and will meet 384 at Haven.

These days, does 382 typically make it through Mount Clemens before 383 comes south, or is the other way around, or does it just vary day by bay?

382 finally made it to New Haven at 16:29. CN 3042 & 2816 with 87 cars. Stopped on the main at Haven but interestingly not clear of the switch. Not 100% sure what’s happening...

Generally, M382 through Mount Clemens in the morning, with M383 coming through in the afternoon. Not always the case, but this has been the modus operandi during 2019.

Train 515 returning to Pontiac passed MP 22.5 at 6 pm.

Amtrak 355 just went by MP 22.5 at 6:19 pm, about a half hour late. It had two locomotives on the headend elephant style, which is a bit odd as it only had one coming in on 350 today. And how they got one pointing south/west is beyond me unless they wyed the train and added the spare locomotive to it. Maybe that is "wye" it is late leaving Pontiac?

Train 391 NB passing MP 22.5 led by blue Citi 1011, a CN and a BNSF. Has a lot of sand cars, something I haven't seen much of lately.
