CSX Train Location Updates- February 2019

Unread post by KC8RBK »

From what I was just hearing on the radio it sounded like there may have been some sort of accident on csx. I was just turning up the radio so I didn't catch the initial call. The rn was asking if everyone on the crew was ok and if they still had their air. She called y106 a minute later, ask them to meet her on 14 then were discussing the mile post. 148.1 148.3... and something about seymore. It's a rough copy this far away. I brought up the west Michigan feed on my phone but they must not monitor 14. Anyone over that way who heard what the story is?

Q32801 went east by Howell this morning at 06:45, NS 7708 & CSX 5405, power from yesterdays Q326 by Bangor not until 19:58, yet still in Howell by 06:45 with 70 cars. (29-41-3885) RN was talking to Q32901 at 07:30 about them having three extra cars in their train, yet have not seen or heard anything from them yet, and that was three hours ago.

Much to my surprise, the V65525 grain empty that I reported way back on Sunday the 27th that they were running around their train at Williamston to spot it at ADM in Webberville, apparently never happened. Last night at 21:00 this same train was at Trowbridge getting ready to head back east to Webberville to spot it, yet never did hear if they ever did.

The east end dispatcher (CH 14) is monitored on the Grand Rapids Shortlines feed.

The rn was giving a slow order to y106 for 148.3-4, previous train in emergency. So that must be what I heard this morning. No accidents thankfully.

Q32802 went east by Howell at 06:10 with CSX 807+290 and 93 cars. Q32902 went west at 07:23 with CSX 527+8181 and 23 cars. There are at least 47 more cars to pick up at Lansing if they do because that is how many cars D708 took back to Lansing yesterday.
