Trip to TC today as per some Facebook trolling. Must have left early as I didn't hear them at all this morning.

From TC John at MichiganRailroads.com, "Picked up a load from Beacon, dropped off 2 DJJX cars for loading. Picked up 2 empties from Amerhart and dropped off at least 2 loads."

Driving around town today and took a couple photos. The flat cars with steel loads are being offloaded in Cadillac. Looked like rail to me when viewed from a distance, definitely steel plates of some sort. They have also started offloading coke at the feed facility in addition to Selma Yard. Picture isn't all that great with the position of the sun this afternoon. Selma Yard mostly has feed hoppers and coke hoppers. North Yard has cement and plastics hoppers and many tanks.

Flats came from the Nucor mill in Tuscaloosa AL. They produce steel plate according to their website.

I wonder who in the Cadillac area has need for carloads of plate steel.

Taking a wild guess on that steel plate coming in. LC Manufacturing in Lake City could be the customer, there specialty is forging&processing. They use large plate steel, and by directly from the mills. Only place I can think of around Cadillac,or Northern Michigan that would receive those types of quantities.

3 out of the 4 flats have been unloaded as of this afternoon. Haven't seen any trucks or equipment. Just tracks in the snow.

Returned to Cadillac at 1530. Sequential numbering this afternoon. Left before 0930. I believe they went north to Petoskey yesterday.
