M384 met L533S at MOUNT, M385 at HAVEN and E271 at TAPPAN. On this late October 22/23, all scheduled trains are nocturnal and the moonlight illuminating them on the Meskill Prairie and in the Belle River Valley is quite impressive. Lots of hoot owls talking between trains tonight in the dark hills along the railroad out here. Before the sun returns, L533N, M383, M382 and x383 will have traversed the MTC sub. Happy night hunting...

391 is approaching Durand.
505, CN 2872 is coming into Flint. They are working at Flint & Durand.

Busy night on the Holly at MP 22.5:
The usual 502 I presume went SB around 10:30 pm or so.
Then at 2 am what sounded (geep) like the evening local, 513, went by SB. And within a minute of that train another SB went by, I presume 116. Didn't get out of bed for either of them to check. They must have been on different main tracks they were so close together. I have not seen or heard 513, if that was what it was, return yet.
Then at 5 am today a NB all autorack train went by. Very long and traveling very fast. Must have been one of those BNSF or UP extras out of Flat Rock. Missed the power.
Train 515 with 6221 SB at 10:34 with a fairly long train of loads.
A late 451 NB passing MP 22.5 at 3:15 pm with a 5700 leading a BC Red and White Cowl locomotive.
Train 513 SB past MP 22.5 with 4632 and a few tank cars at 6:38 pm.
Train 391 NB past MP 22.5 at 7:40 pm. Missed the power.

L533S by Mount Clemens depot at 16:40. IC 9571/GTW 4929, 2 empty centerbeams. Nice and clean matched pair of 38's. Seems like after years of jacking around turning single unit power at Milwaukee Jct., they've finally decided on two back to back engines to simplify and expedite ops.
