Does anyone know if the LORAM Rail Grinder will be "Grinding" tommorow (8-20) morning on the Mt. Clemens Sub? It should still be "Tied Down" on the siding in Mt. Clemens! I may go to the tracks early in the morning hoping to catch it "Grinding!!!!" "Be on the Lookout!!!!"

As of 8:00 it was. There was a green light too. I presume 384 was on its way...

Thanx! This morning (8-20) someone let me know the "Grinder" was still in Mt. Clemens as 7:21 a.m. There was northbound train 382 that I missed! I was at the tracks in Fraser at 8:20 a.m. and there was nothing, "Red Signals!" OK, if anyone has any "UPDATES" on the LORAM Rail Grinder─please post!!!!

Late post.
CN eastbound at Gilcrest (Sault Ste. Marie sub) at 3:40 pm Sunday.
No locomotive numbers were observed.
CN leader, approximately 24 iron ore loads, a BNSF DPU, about 8 concentrate loads from Humboldt, three tank cars (appeared to be paper/wood products chemicals) and a short cut of coil steel cars.

Loram rail grinder still resting in MOUNT siding. To use a well known military term, looks to be broke-dick. The living quarters appear to be former bi-level commuter cars and are, by virtue of the hard work that goes on, just about the filthiest things I've ever encountered on the railroad. Probably doesn't pay to bathe the exteriors too much.

Was this "ex BNSF" unit a former ATSF or BN? If so, do you know the locomotive number? It also looks like 533 had a "Warbonnet" SD75M!!!! Why didn't you "Report" that?

L533S through New Haven at 16:14. ex Warbonnet/99 containers.

CN kindly donated the old GRS Tri-lights that guarded the CTC island at Haven for nearly 20 years, to the New Haven depot custodians. They have erected these on poured concrete bases on the street side, and thus we have history preserved by those who took the time to make the inquiry with CN. Nice job.

Around 2315 116 by 205. Missed the power, stacks in the middle and a short train. 2330 148 segment by, again missed the power and short train.

I caught 391 at Williams Lake Rd. 11:29 PM. I missed getting eyes on the power.

391 was held at Pontiac briefly for a railgrinder to get into the yard. I hoped to catch the grinder north of the yard but never did catch it.

Edit to add:

391 cleared the detector MP 59.9 at 12:14 AM 2750 feet long, 204 axles. 391 will meet 116 at Durand. CREX 1516 was leading 391
