The train couldnt leave grand rapids without 2 engines. So they had a west olive crew bring over power before it could leave

Rob, so they used a crew to determine they couldn't run the train at Wyoming Yard. Guessing due to union/labor rules, had to call another crew to grab power at West Olive, take it to Wyoming Yard, and taxi back. Then call yet another crew for today to take K831 west?

it was gr plans to run the train. when we call to find out where the train was going to the Chicago chief looked up the train and seen that it had only one engine. the connecting railroad wouldn't take the train. we where trying to give them heads up they would need to recrew us at barr yard.

Sounds like they have to go restricted speed for 3.4 miles....Q327 went in emergency around Pearl apparently.

Q32916 by Howell at 06:25, even earlier than yesterday's Q329. Would have been even earlier if not for a red block at Ann Pere Diamond. CSXT 44 single unit leading today, with 44 cars trailing. Met Q32816 at Trowbridge, which was by Howell at 08:10, also with a red block at Ann Pere. CSXT 4781+3143 with 90 cars. Yesterdays Q328 had 118 cars.

15:15 hrs: D708 EB passing MA in Lansing behind CSXT 5256 and 7693 with a lengthy train today including a cut of probably 25/30 CSX covered grain hoppers.

JAIL was SB around 2pm with a single empty flatcar.
