Spotted this morning, July 08, 2018, at NS Oakwood Yard in Melvindale, MI was #171. Power is: NS 9710, GMTX 9000. The Blue and white GMTX unit has the logo's for the P&W and Vermont Ry and a New England map on long hood. As of 1430 he was still sitting at Oakwood Yard.

NS had a bit of a meltdown on the Wabash Line in Romulus today. A downed tree on both tracks caused 4 Westbounds, CP 650, CP 141(?), NS B70 and NS 171 to hold at the diamond. Traffic was held for almost three hours. After the tree was removed, a nice parade of trains, including a race between 650 and that possible 141, passed me. The traffic hold-up began at 3:10pm but didn't fully clear out until around 6:10pm.

420 is at Ecorse Jct. Train for Oakwood.
