The weekend local just went SB past MP 22.5 at 9:40 am. I think it had 5847 as power.

Are these Q130 series trains new regular trains or just extras?

Not running daily, but appear to be operating 2-3 times a week these days in both directions. With regard to the symbols, these are the most recent numbers that I've heard crews using, but since the Mount Clemens sub is now CTC, there is very little radio traffic at all around here and it's difficult to get symbols on some of these trains. At any rate, it's good to see the extra traffic. Seems the CN intermodal marketing boys have been on the ball lately.

Hey, will this CNJ "Heritage" unit come back north tomorrow morning (7-15)? I hope it leads northbound 382 and to catch this!!!! I have only seen this unit at the Norfolk Southern® "Heritage Locomotives Display" in Spencer, N.C., July 4th, 2012! Here's a picture I took (Mamiya® Medium Format film camera) of NS 1071 on that trip: Image

I caught a southbound mixed freight at Williams Lake Rd. at 3:34 AM, BNSF 6655 leading. I was expecting 116 but, No intermodal cars. I know it was not 514 as they returned north from Pontiac about 4:05 AM with GTW 4912.

Well, that was 116 I saw. They are good to depart southbound from Pontiac at 5:14 AM.

27 loads, 48 empty, 6415 feet long. Being no intermodel, they will not be stopping at Moterm.

:?: OK, does anyone know where northbound train 382 is today, Sunday July 15 (11:35 a.m.)? Does it have NS CNJ "Heritage" SD70ACe #1071 leading? :?: I went to the trax in Fraser this morning and photographed in the weeds at CP "Beck," Fraser, southbound train 383!!!! It had CN SD75I #5671, CN SD70I #5624, CN C44-9W #2632, 132 cars, cleared "Beck" at 9:46 a.m. I really want to photograph this CNJ "Heritage" unit!!!! I am mad I slept through it passing southbound yesterday!!!! I hope I didn't miss it!!!! :!:

 I probably won't be able to see it now!!!! That must have been train 382 I heard from home around 5:00 a.m. OK, per Facebook® Tim's Railfan Group™,
(Noah Willams/Colton Jeffries):
"The units that led 382 are off the train and are sitting in Sarina." "It (CNJ "Heritage" SD70ACe #1071) did lead to Sarnia, yes"
