CSX Train Location Updates: July, 2018.

Q32904 departed Howell at 15:47. KCS 4000 & 4025 with 50 cars. Nice looking set with the sun shining bright on my side. D708 will taxi from Fowlerville to Howell soon to move the last half of yesterdays grain load to Brighton and put the train back together there. Todays first Q326 will either go to Webberville or to GLC at Howell.

Thx for KCS heads up on q329. Sounds like they got done working Lansing a little bit ago and enroute to GR for me to shoot. Potash train was k86202 bound to webberville, parked in GR for the evening.

Edit: Sweet, bagged the train 2 minutes before a large bank of clouds came in. Awesome sunlight at Seymour tonight.

Amtrak P371-05 is westbound at 91.9 DD at 08:18. No defects, 20 axles, but coming to a stop, detector has a “dragging equipment malfunction...”

A manifest just went westbound through zeeland at 8:30am. Dont know what it was but had 3 engines, first 2 were CP and the third I did not recognize but was green and black. Long train.

Q326 and coal loads somewhere in IL/IN. D700 west at CG 9 with CSXT 4226. Extra 327?? west around Saugatuck. P371 Michigan City.

Q327 has 610 axles, 8619 feet at 44.2 DD.

Q327 westbound at Vine at 11:13. CP 8802, CP 8578, KLWX 81. They got the dragging equipment malfunction as well, so will walk the 148 car train once they get in Livingston siding... Meeting Q326-05 there.

Q326-05 with CSXT 7901 leading (admin edit: CSXT 7846 trailing, 73 cars) has an Approach Limited eastbound at Vine CG 92 at 11:49. "No defects, dragging equipment malfunction," 304 axles, 4538 feet at 91.9 DD.

91.9 just got put out of service, so they're good to keep rolling.

CSXT 7846 is second unit, by Bangor cam at 12:51.

163 cars with the same two KCS units from yesterday plus others. There was no Q328 on two of five days in July to date which may explain the long train today. The 32 auto rack cars from yesterdays Q326 were not on the train. V79930 went west by Howell at 11:10 this morning. Two units back to back and sounds as if they are going to Grand Ledge. D708 wound up taking Tuesdays grain train all the way to Plymouth last night after putting the entire three sections of the train back together again at Howell and Brighton. Only took 26 hours to get the train from Howell to Plymouth after they first stalled.
