Heard them move into North Yard around 0900. Haven't heard them since so I'm assuming they are north of Cadillac somewhere.
Are the cars for beacon still there?AANscaleRunner wrote:Heard them move into North Yard around 0900. Haven't heard them since so I'm assuming they are north of Cadillac somewhere.
LOL, we'll let it slide THIS time. HA! Any idea if anything for TC came in yesterday in those 36 cars you reported? If not, maybe more today to go up north with the 5 cars waiting to go. Also, heard that Beacon is expecting another cut of cars to scrap this week. So, with already having 5 cars for sure, could have a sizable train to TC again this week. Record so far this year was 21 cars in March, and then a 16 car train in April. Rest have been 3-10.AANscaleRunner wrote:My assumption was incorrect. I apologize to the northern folk. 399 and 398 just left for Clare at 1130 with 33 cars. I could barely hear them moving around this morning.
What way do you think they will head?AANscaleRunner wrote:Currently working Selma Yard. Brought 34 cars from North Yard.
Not bad, 7 revenue cars for TC, hopefully today. I say revenue cars as I'm not sure what to call the cars that come up here for scrapping (I assume Beacon is buying these from GLC to scrap, but guessing GLC doesn't charge to take them up to TC.AANscaleRunner wrote:392, 398 and 399 return to Cadillac at 1745 with 52 cars. Included 1 loaded centerbeam to go with the 6 gons waiting in North Yard for a TC trip.
They dropped 6 gondolas to Beacon on the Grawn branch about 11:45, and were on their way to Williamsburg with a center beam. Beacon started loading not more than 5 minutes after the 6 cars were spotted. Apparently those cars couldn't get there fast enough. Curious to see if GLC goes back there after Williamsburg to get any that are ready/loaded.TCBrent wrote:Heard them in TC here a bit ago. Making their way around town now.
I saw them at Beacon about the same time switching the cars with two single engines. I'll post some video when I get home this afternoon.TC Man wrote:They dropped 6 gondolas to Beacon on the Grawn branch about 11:45, and were on their way to Williamsburg with a center beam.
