short eb by 205 at 1345. 3 cn units pulling. a couple flats toward the head end with new cat excavators on them. Might be 502 but I haven't heard yet.

Westbound A451 was crossing Pittsburg Road just west of Durand at 5:10pm with IC Blue Devil 2460, CN North America cowl 2451, CSX 4547 (Yn3b paint), CN 8890, CN 5339, and CN 2616 leading. Pretty short train ironically.

An eastbound went into the tunnel with CN 2885 and 3078. F/R.

I think the eastbound was 398. After 398 cleared 16th Street the crossing signals deactivated normally, then reactivated with the gates up. It's kinda weird listening to the e-bell knowing there's no train nearby...

That 271 headed down the Mt. Clemens Sub just before 20:00. They were supposed to head into the siding at Haven to meet at least two northbounds. I headed for home about the same time.

About a block away from home I heard a 373 calling US Customs for a scan. I didn't catch anything else, but I don't recall having seen a 373 symbol come through the tunnel before.

There was another evening 513 local out of Pontiac on the Holly last night. I heard it returning to Pontiac past MP 22.5 at 5:20 am. Not sure if this is the new local schedule or just for the holiday weekend.

Train 950 just went SB past MP 22.5 at 11:10 am with two locomotives today: a 5400 (maybe 5469?) and a 5800 (maybe 5847) and a long train. Maybe need the extra power for the return trip up the Hill tonight?

Right after 950 was 451 NB past MP 22.5 at 11:17 am with five locomotives, three CN (third a cowl in CN NA Paintscheme), a CSX and an NS. Short train. 60 mph.

At 12:40 pm a Train 280 with a BNSF unit leading an NS one was Sb past MP 22.5.

Someone must have gotten that 5400 running.....it came down from Flint with the 514 job this morning and died while pulling into the yard. The crew couldn't get it started, even with the Diesel Doc "coaching" them...crew had to use the 4925 to finish yarding the train and set the dead unit under the shed.....no idea if 514 made it back to Flint with a train

Very slow eastbound going through East Lansing at 03:05. Power is an ex BC rail (non cowl) and a pair of the 2400 series cowls.

They seem to have been slowing to let 148 go by on track 1. 148 by at 03:10.

Eb by 205 at 2023. 3 units pulling last of which is 2410 cowl. Mixed freight moving a little slow compared to normal.

384 came through New Haven rather slowly at 2033. CN 3087 & 3805 with 70 cars.

Train 950 returning to Pontiac past MP 22.5 at 1:55 pm with 6221 as power today.

Train 451 NB past MP 22.5 at 2:50 pm with an IC SD70 leading a CN unit then a CSX unit then IC 9571, a GP-38-2 (that was a former GM&O unit, built in 1972).

Train 515 with 5847 NB past MP 22.5 at 7:45 pm on its way back to Pontiac.

Train 451 is following 515 up the Hill at with 8832, 8012, and 8821 at 7:54 pm on Main 2 with a short train and Amtrak 352 has caught up to it and is passing it behind my house on Main 1. Great action on the two-tracked Holly mainline.
