They built a new connection off the existing CSX spur to the still extant part of the GDLK spur between Butterworth and Emperor.
Goes to show how long its been since I have been down there!

Q38519 had CSX 445+907+474 into GRP overnight with 80 cars. Met Q384 at Williamston I believe which was by Howell just before midnight with CSX 520-4708.

Bangor cam shows them with CSXT 5212 and 5220 at 10:52am with 80 cars even. Two token CSX autoracks near the tail end.

1705 hrs: CSX y121 with 2034 opening up the Dock Spur in Holland to switch Padnos, bringing 7 empty gons.

CSX C&S crews are trenching for new crossing protection on the Hamilton Branch at the 8th St. and Fairbanks Avenue crossings just east of downtown. A new cabinet was placed a few months back. Fairbanks is a passive crossing, 8th has older cantilevered equipment including mechanical bells.

That would be D70822 with 5241 leading and 7894 trailing. On the way back west they stopped and picked up Illinois Central 1022 at Peaker. 708 had to pick up cars off the GLC transfer AND the Howell pass and did not leave Howell until 20:30 with 58 cars.

P370-22 is currently going through Watervliet. Sounds like IDTX 4621 leading.
The cold weather we've had this March has kept the Spring Peepers and other frogs from coming out, so I could clearly hear 4621's horn, 8 miles away from the tracks. (I imagine I'd be able to see those blinding headlights lighting up the sky above it if I looked hard enough. )
Q327-22 is currently going through St. Joseph. Sounds like CSXT 445 leading.
9:49 pm edit: 594 axles, 8220 ft. at DD91.9

Q327-23 is currently stopped near Coloma with air troubles. Sounds like a car has a hole in its airline and will have to be set off.
On the move at 9:02pm...RN realigned the signals to put P370 on 2 track, Q327 on 1 track so Q327 can set the car off on the maintenance siding in Benton Harbor, where the yard used to be.
