Re: CN Updates - March 2018
Hey strangers! First post in a while. School and work keeps me busy and keeps me away from the railfanning.
Anyways, 533 was flying through Mt. Clemens last night just before 11 PM. CN 3120 & 5258 with 154 cars. Is this new for 533 to have two engines?

Re: CN Updates - March 2018
Around 5 pm a late 451 went NB past MP 22.5 with a 5400 leading.
Then just now at 6:22 pm an all autorack NB is going by. Sort of like the old 371 when, what is now 451, was all autoracks. Power was the two BNSF units elephant style that was on that 280 the other day.

Wb manifest by 205 at 1903. Interesting to see a pair of standard cab units. Most of what comes by these days are wide cabs. Hope everyone is enjoying the weather.

CN 1501, a Budd RDC-1 track geometry unit, is tied down in the Battle Creek yard near the MOW bldg., just south of the Emmett St bridge.
Also saw IC/CN 2462 in Conrail blue as one of 3 units on a train waiting to head west. A r/w/b BCOL unit also in the yard, couldn't see the number.
GTW 4626 (CN paint) a venerable old GP9, doing yard duties, like it has for what? 50+ years? Now that's how things should be built!

OK, do you know where CN #1501, Budd RDC-1 will head next? Will it come to the Mt. Clemens Sub.?
Folks, I photographed "Fresh Rebuilt" GTW GP9R #4626, for the first time August 1992!!!! It looked very nice pulling the GTW Local into Mt. Clemens!!!!
Here's that picture I took at age nine (Canon® AE-1™ 35mm S.L.R.):

At 3:12 am last night a SB rolled past MP 22.5. Didn't get up to look but presume it was 116, which has been running at its regular nocturnal time by my house lately.

Hey Robert Trains,
Nice picture of the GTW 4626 in new paint! I remember in the early 90s when the GTW was overhauling and rebuilding their locomotives.
My uncle was working at the shops in Battle Creek at the time as a welder. He gave my Dad and I a tour of the place around this time. (Everything is pretty much gone now except the main shop building). He was new to the railroad then, and now is looking forward to retirement.
Thanks for the memories of that GTW loco! What a great picture. I like the memories of NO GRAFITTI on the railcars and the caboose at the end. I am just old enough to remember all 3 - GTW locomotives, cabooses, and no Graffiti.

Thanx David! I always watched (and photographed) the GTW growing up!!!! I've been a "Railfan" since I was 4 in 1987! Cabooses!!!!
Here's a picture my Dad (RCJ I) took (Canon® 35mm SLR) of "Fresh Graffitiless" GTW "Hi-Cube" Boxcars, Chesterfield, MI in 1990:
