Train 451 NB past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 2:54 pm. A CN unit, then a former UP lease unit, then a CN, then a real UP then a CSX for five locomotives. Wanted to get a snow shot but he snuck up on me. With the heavy wet snow the lead unit's "face" was all white with just the wiper paths and headlight breaking the scene.

At 4:05 pm a SB Doublestack went past MP 22.5. Single CN unit leading and a CN unit in the middle (more like 1/3 from the front). I presume this is that weekly 326 that Jim has mentioned. I did get a photograph of it in the snow.

Last night I drove by Moterm Yard while on 8 Mile road and they seemed to be making a train up. I had forgotten that the container part of the yard expanded south of 8 Mile onto the old State Fair Property. And they have a new entrance/exit for truck for the north side, right off of 8 Mile road. Looks like they took down the old bakery building that was there for it. The property south of 8 Mile was full of containers and one of those big cranes was driving around moving containers around at night. I wonder if they load/unload containers on the south side now too? They must. The current Google Maps satellite shot doesn't show the new entrance or how busy it is on the south side of 8 Mile now.

There was a NB stack train on the Holly last night passing MP 22.5 around 1 am if I recall. Single unit. Did not hear a DPU in it as it went by. Maybe a 119 or a return of the 326 that went by SB on Thursday? Also heard a SB around 4 am. Maybe 116?

364 by 205 at 0905. I didn't hear the axle count but it felt a little longer than usual. One of the middle cars said "polar express" on it. Not sure if thats a regular car on this train. I dont often sit and watch Amtrak trains when they go by.

116 cleared the detector MP 34.2 at 1:31 AM. Sounds like an NS engine leading but missed the number.

Just got a message from a friend suggesting 451 will have the NS Lackawanna heritage unit on it tonight. They didn't say anything about a location so those of you who catch that during the day during it may be worth a little extra effort to find it today.

Yep it was on 116 into Flat Rock apparently. It was the trailing unit to Flat Rock, so MAYBE it'll be leading on 451 today?

Not sure if 451 has made it to Pontiac yet. I haven't seen it but I was out and about for a couple hours this morning. It has been going by in the late afternoon lately so maybe it is on its way. Will look out for it. I think that usually 116's power comes back on the evening 391 train but with 451 running later lately maybe not today.
