GLC 395
GLC 398
GLC 399

2 covered hoppers
2 high top open hoppers
2 covered hoppers
1 tank car
2 covered hoppers
6 tank cars
1 covered hopper
1 open hopper
2 tank cars
2 gondolas
3 open hoppers
2 gondolas
5 open hoppers
4 tank cars
2 covered hoppers
6 tank cars
5 gondolas

Lots of what appeared to be wood (maybe railroad ties? Hard to tell with snow on them) piled up in most of the open hoppers and gondolas. Don't know what customer that is for, but their getting a lot of it.

The cogeneration plant in McBain has a license to burn old railroad ties. GLC built a new spur into their plant property a year or two ago. Prior to that they were transloading from Selma Yard in Cadillac. They were projecting 2000 carloads a year. I don't think they get that many but it's still a good and steady customer.

The 48 cars on the northbound GLC train at Durand today with GLC 385+398+399 all came off the CSX Howell passing siding at the noon hour. Far as I know, GLC came to Howell only to pick up these cars, They had been sitting in the Howell pass since December 29th. GLC had to wait nearly two hours for CSX track people to clear up just to come over onto CSX to get the cars.

396 and 397 are in Cadillac. Came into town at 1740. Looked like wood chip hoppers, grain hoppers, long string of tanks and an empty centerbeam.

After seeing the GLC go south through Durand this morning around 0935, I went to Osmer in hopes that they'd show up. What I found was that though they never showed up, there was quite a bit of action. The AA had picked up all of the cars that went south last night this morning and left a large amount of grain hoppers at Osmer, filling both siding tracks. Two GLC hirailers were working in Osmer, digging out switches and unfreezing them, as well as inspecting the sidings and the grain hoppers. With this, I would expect GLC to come back south again this week to pick up the strings of hoppers. I'll be on the lookout, hopefully others could report if they leave Owosso for Osmer.
