Huckleberry Railroad clear Genessee EB & WB on the 7:30 train. Engine #7, the Centercab is unexpectedly leading the train tonight. A very rare outing for this locomotive and my first encounter with it.

GRE is on duty, locomotive is warming up in the yard. Counting over a dozen hoppers on the inbound track with a couple next to the engine house.

**2104 was put back in the house without making a run and idling for well over an hour. Not exactly sure what is going on.

I believe those dozen or so to be outbound empties from Tuesday. I don't think they received any last night.

Grand Elk and CSX seem to have resolved their dispute. There is a lot of activity at the trans-load north of Ann Street and Grand Elk will be bring more grain to King.

Not quite. The STB said GDLK can resume using the trackage rights (effective 12/4/17) pending resolution of the other case in the state courts.

The state court issue may have been settled out of court.

I'm sure it could be. A new agreement for some where between $105 and $300 / car.
They did an engine lite on the 4th to check it out :)

An agreement was reached effective December 1, 2017 granting track rights over CSX to Grand Elk. Part of that agreement included dismissal of the court case.
The decision is available at the STB.

Pretty much the same as the previous agreement(s). They redacted the rate agreed upon. 20 year agreement with one renewal. CSX retains the control over passenger operations.
