Q327-12 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like CSXT 803 leading.

Q385-10 already west of Williamston at 09:00. 921+7911+8350 with 118 cars. V778-10 went to Grand Rapids overnight with 90 grain empties. CSX 20+4746. They met Q384 at Howell. No big deal, but get a kick out Wabash1070 reporting Q384 "what sounds like" lead unit numbers and has not gotten one right the last three nights in a row. Not sure if he has a weak hand set or what, but have heard the same signal call from Howell all three nights as clear as can be.

Got the same problem down here Bob, they just can't get the information correct. I have no Problems with my radio @ 50 mile range.

Can you recommend an antenna? I get about 1/5 of that range.

I'll take a "sounds like" update over a lack of an update any day of the week.

Scanner Antenna - I use a magnetic mount car antenna trimmed to RR frequencies mounted on a metal ground plate in my house. Works great.

That's exactly what I use :D Right down to the ground plate. There might just be too many hills in the way.

1310 hrs:
Q326 with the CSXT 3134 leading is meeting D700 at Saugatuck siding. d700 is going long today after swapping power with Y121 at Holland, so D700 has the slug set with 2249 and Y121 now has 2048. Q326 helper set which tlout reported earlier will go back down the hill to assist an eastbound coal train which is somewhere behind Q326.

Also, Q385 is yarding their train at Lamar.

Actually my antenna broke last week and tried to fix it, guess I'll need to spend a couple bucks on a new antenna, anyone know any good handheld antennas under 50 bucks?

Diamond RH77CA. Used and recommended by Danny Harmon. Lost mine a few weeks ago. Tier4Gevo recommends the Smiley Antenna Super Stick II 160 Mhz. I haven't tried it before, but he says it outperforms the RH77CA, so maybe give that one a shot instead.
