The two more were CSX 8642+153. 140 cars. The first 40 were stone loads. Without it, the car count would have been within one of the night before.

No defects and 714 axles, 12217' at the Clarkville DD 13:25~Z~ wrote:Q38426 east by Riders in Grand Rapids, CSXT 110, 7859, 430, 2, 931 are the power on it. Quite a bit of intermodal, mixed freight, and some tractors on the rear. 12:29pm.
edit to add:
Through Woodbury/M-66 milepost CH 116.3 at about 13:43.
Looked to me like only the first 3 of the 5 units were online and working hard.
Moving well below tracakspeed.
Large cut of intermodal on the head end. Tractors on the rear.
Edit To Add: Clear the DD CH104.3 Mulliken at 14:09. 1 foot longer there.
Units as Z advertised.

Q384 cleared Howell at 16:08. Only took eight minutes for the train to pass, they were so long. 171 cars per the axel count. 123 of freight behind 109 container platforms. A weak radio, you wont hear them call signals until they are a mile from you, just in case my South Lyon counterpart is listening.

Indeed. I am now trackside. Thank you so much!BL2-1843 wrote:Q384 cleared Howell at 16:08. 16:39 Q384 approaching South Lyon
16:51 Not only a quiet radio, a quiet horn as well! I couldn't even hear it over the sound of traffic until it was 200 feet away. Another interesting oddity, the EOT was not flashing.
384 also had coil cars, two in the middle and something that looked like one in the back.
Thanks all for keeping me updated!

Re: CSX Train Location Updates November 2017
Thanks for confirming. Listened to the superscanner archive and only picked them up at Fox, Thornapple, and Snow Rd. When out in person, barely heard a horn at what I'm guessing was Seymour a mile away. Each time they were talking with the dispatcher, never heard the locomotive's end on my car scanner.J3rsdm5 wrote:16:51 Not only a quiet radio, a quiet horn as well! Amtrak P370-27 with IDTX 4613 leading east has 20 axles, 363 feet at 91.9 DD at 21:45.
Re: CSX Train Location Updates November 2017
Departed St. Joseph at 9:50pm. Sounds like Q327 is coming into my scanner range, so I imagine there will be a meet on double track...hopefully a rolling meet so Amtrak won't have to wait at Riverside.justin_gram wrote:Amtrak P370-27 with IDTX 4613 leading east has 20 axles, 363 feet at 91.9 DD at 21:45.

Hearing what sounds like Q384 heading east out of GR.
