399, 397 and 396 left Cadillac for Clare at 0950 with 2 wood chip hoppers and 12 tie loads.

397 and 399 returned at 1730 with 1 tank, 3 tie loads, 3 cement hoppers, 1 covered hopper, 7 tanks, 1 loaded centerbeam and 11 tanks.

When did 396 come up?


396 came up Friday afternoon. Looked like they brought in 14 cement hoppers and a string of at least 20 tie loads.

A partial answer to csx801 from last month's thread. Wood chips are loaded on the Viking Energy spur, south of the road that runs through the industrial park.

399 and 397 leaving Cadillac for Clare at 1100 with 1 empty centerbeam for McBain, 10 tie loads, 5 tanks and 12 cement hoppers.

Heard them leave Cadillac northbound at 0920. Which direction will they go at Walton Junction?

As of 1230 they had not been thru the East side of TC, no sand was pushed out of the flange ways. Must have been up Kalkaska way.

No idea but I did see a Sierra Northern locomotive with about 30 tank cars and 9 feed hoppers here in Woodland, California! Loco looks weird, and new. Or some strange combination of 2 different locos rebuilt into 1 weird looking creature.

801, at first I thought you mis-spelled the word caboose. But I looked it up and I find Cabeese is plural for more than one caboose. Never saw that one before!

I'm still on the west coast, but I'm told that on Friday, GLC brought 3 loaded center beam loads to Amerhart, pulled 2 empties, and pulled 3 loads from Beacon, leaving town with a 5 car train.
