Hey, what are the chances they will pull a train back north today, 10-1? I want to catch these "Rare" BCOL "COWL" locomotives pulling a train! What train are they likely to be on, if heading north? Please help! :?: Here is BCOL C40-8M #4617 on Heritageunits.com: https://heritageunits.com/locomotive/detail/BCOL4617

I'm no expert but engines that go south to Toledo can either return north on a 391 to Battle Creek via the Holly and Flint subs, or on a 382 to Port Huron. Not sure which is more likely. Both tend to run in the evening or early AM through Detroit.

If they came north on 382, it seems they would have them as "Trailing" units! I have see this before; that would be better than nothing of course!
If anyone has information, please post!

382 comes out of CSX’s Walbridge Yard and they don’t usually pick up power in Lang, so 391 would be most likely to have the cowls tonight.

OK, found out the BCOL "COWL" units are again pulling train 391! After waiting for trains, will head north! Does 391 work Moterm Yard? Even if dark, would be nice to catch!!!!

391 does not work Moterm anymore. The engines on 502 from the night before stay in Toledo and are used on a 901 or 908 which is the Lang Yard Job during the day. The engines leave the yard on 391 around 4.30pm .

CN 2659 is southbound approaching the Milwaukee Junction on the Clem with a shorter train of autoracks. Not sure on a train number as the CN Detroit Area scanner feed is offline again.

Does anyone know what was up with Amtrak 350 today in Royal Oak? When it was going north past the Hudson crossing around 3 pm, it was just crawling and there was a guy walking along the side of it with a red flag.

CN 3044 leading possible M385 SB from Mount Clemens Sub to Shoreline Sub at Milwaukee Jct. Probably not 385 on second thought. Long train, all autoracks.
