If they went long probably went buns up again dodging traffic like they did the other day.

Saw them on the bridge at Thornapple on my drive home from the Airport. Would have been right around 5:00 pm; probably a few minutes before that. Sorry for the late report.

P370-26 is currently going through Watervliet. Sounds like AMTK 90219 leading.
N800 is currently leaving Riverside, after waiting on P370 to pass. Sounds like BNSF 8575 leading.

Slightly late report from yesterday afternoon:

Around 1700 hrs, a small parade of eastbounds passed through Holland.

Leading was Q326, with a quadruplet of CSX GE power: 3194, 3098, 557 and 7722 + 78 mixed and 50 wells. Video here shown crossing the Macatawa River bridge:

Next came D802, the helper set which pushed Q326 up Saugatuck Hill. They cutoff at the summit and were returning to West Olive with a slow clear at the West Leg Wye.

Last came local D700 with CSXT GP30 Road Slug #2227, GP40-2 #6413, and a single Conrail coilshield car. They had high greens at Holland I don't think stopped at Waverly for a pickup.

We caught Q326 at the west end of Grand Junction, watched the BNSF pushers hook on at Fennville, got them going over the river in New Richmond, and then cutting off the pushers at East Saugatuck. The pushers then followed Q326 to Holland and then headed up to West Olive.

You are still getting "your sound" directions wrong. Once again, that was Q385, aka Q38524 with CSX 4556+4521+2048 with 128 cars, all freight. Q384, for the third morning in a row went through Howell in the 4am hour. 04:45 this time. CSX 7884+3029 with 90 container platforms on the head end, and 88 other cars following. Grain empty for Webberville got trapped on the south side of all tracks blocked at Beck Road Plymouth this morning and died there. Still waiting to get west of Plymouth at 13:25.

Wow. If 384 was just five minutes later, they would have stopped me on my way out in the morning.

THIS, was a terrific video of Q326 coming into GRP for various reasons. First, guess I just overlooked the fact the intermodal cars coming on Q384 on the head end, are on the rear end of Q326 coming from Chicago. Second, I now have a far better understanding on what constitutes a "well" as far as car counts, one well equals one car on a car count. Standing trackside at 04:45 this morning counting platforms on Q384, and the fact this is the same cars videoed on Q326, I now see my platform count of 90 containers, were on "50 wells" I will no longer get confused when some count wells, and hope others don't get confused when I count containers. You can not count both on a moving train. Because I have always counted containers on intermodal trains, not the amount of wells on the train, I will continue to do so, but this is all so very interesting. Who said you cant teach an old dog new Tricks.

Finally, did anyone else but me notice that locomotive 557 in the consist has "box car" logos on it? I do not show this as a box car unit. The last photograph of 557 on RRPA over a year ago shows fire damage around the CSX logo on the long hood taken from the engineers side, The view of 557 on the opposite side shows the box car logo which I assume is on both sides. I could not tell if there were box car logs on the front and rear end, but am suspecting only the portion around the fire damage was repainted with box car logos, and both ends were not leaving a rarity of a kind, Perhaps someone knows the answer to this.
