The GLC runs a few hundred feet from my window, so I usually type it in as it goes by. If I am not able to, I'll log it via paper and pencil, or smartphone video to reference later. I like video because I can take note of small details like loads, empties, reporting marks, build dates, and other small details that I cannot otherwise catch. I have a small journal log that I try and keep up on if I can. I would like to eventually gather enough data to report on monthly shipment/car counts, trends, and changes; though that is a rather lofty goal.

As for the Traverse City traffic...Amerhart is/has opened a location in Grand Rapids and I believe is along the Grand Elk. With this new location, I wonder if some of the loads that would have gone up to TC are now going to GR? Also, I believe only 3 hoppers were delivered/filled at Beacon Recycling and nothing for past month. I hope the three loads were not the trial run and they opted out or maybe still assessing?

Amerhart - Grand Rapids is in the former Barclay Ayres & Burch, then Galloup facility at 1655 Steele SW. Just east of the yard but never had a siding.

I doubt the GR location will affect the TC location. As for Beacon, maybe just email them and ask? I'm sure they will not bite...Id stop in there but I'm back in Los Angeles. Did go to Fullerton again yesterday, front row seating for BNSF, Amtrak, Metra Rail. Didn't go 10 minutes without a BNSF train passing, or 3 at the same time. Nice restaurant with outdoor seating on the trackside as well. Didn't see any GLC come through, lol!

I do know they'll be leaving Owosso with 25 cars though.
UPDATE: they will pick up 2 cars in MtP today and 3 cars on Wednesday.
Departed Owosso at 9:15am.

Reason I ask is there are no customers (that I know of) in Mt. Pleasant.

I've seen GLC leave cars on the siding in Mount Pleasant before, but not for anything more than short term storage. I will drive by and inspect this morning before GLC hits the city limits.

They appear to be loaded. I'm guessing GLC left them here while Cadillac made room for them. Will try and see what they take south
