Good to meet you AAScaleRunner!
Good to meet you also. Nothing like watching trains on a day off.

I've always wondered what the speed limit is from the Walton Wye to Kingsley. Is it faster than the 10mph speed restriction in the TC area?

I think the third person could be the GLC CEO (he comes along on trains sometimes), a trainee engineer/conductor or an FRA inspector.

Here they are in TC headed for Williamsburg.

And a little later a lonely engine on the return trip.

And here they are switching this morning. I wasn't able to stick around and catch them leaving town.

Why are trains so short lately?

396, 395 and 392 return to Cadillac at 1640 with 1 coke hopper, 30 tie loads and 14 cement hoppers.

Coke hopper may have also been a tie load, a truck passed in front of me blocking my view. Would have like to have been closer for a video on this one.

They more than likely picked up cars in McBain to add to these three.

I'm guessing there will be an Elmira run tomorrow, with those 14 cement hoppers...

Hmm, with that third locomotive coming back up, I wouldn't rule out northbound runs to TC and Petoskey. I'm not sure of the crew situation up there, but that third locomotive is perplexing. Perhaps they intend to shuffle a great deal of storage cars along the mains while the other motors run north. I'll be curious to hear how this develops.

Or maybe those 14 cement and 30 tie loads were pushing the limits on the 2 usual locos (not knowing the grades from Clare to Cadillac myself).
