We got word PM 1225 came south past Durand Union Station on the ferry move to Howell around 7:05am.

GTW 4929 in CN paint is on the 514, came up the Holly Sub after 1225 cleared, pulled east, backed up the Port Huron Wye west and worked Durand Yard until about 8:45am, departed east same time as Amtrak Bluewater came west about 40 mins late.

CN 3078 leading another CN Gevo elephant style on an EB mixed freight 9:15am.

Glad we went down to shoot PM 1225 on the Melon Festival trips out of Howell all afternoon, not sure if it was the L502 if it arrived at 3pm here and then worked Durand Yard, a train went south down the Holly Sub around 3:30pm, then there were no trains for 6 hours until 9:30pm when the Amtrak EB Bluewater arrived on time.

Next up was CN x 3 on an EB mixed freight following Amtrak at track speed at 10:00pm.

CN 2235 leading 3 other CN Gevos on an EB mixed freight at 10:25, the 3rd in a parade of eastbounds here.

CN 89xx & CN 2035 elephant style on a WB mixed freight, picked up autoracks in Flint yard before coming through Durand at 12:15am.

Then a 2 hour lull before HESR 3391, 2107, 3045 just arrived in Durand with an empty coal train 2:10am, backing into Durand Yard now with empties, will pick up a loaded coal train in the yard before heading back north to Bay City.

CN 2949 & CN 2866 on an EB mixed freight, just met the HESR empty coal train backing up on the Port Huron Wye 2:25am.

IC 3117 is apparently the current yard switcher in Port Huron.

CN 2289 is only unit on a westbound autorack train ( didn't have my scanner on, don't know symbol, but it probably has a '71' in it). It's probably somewhere west of Imlay City by now.

I went to the MTM station in Mt. Clemens today (8-20)! From there I saw "Thunderbirds" of the Selfridge Base 100th Anniversary Air Show!!!! Local train 524 came on the siding ('Automatic' switches) and reversed ends of two "Center Beam" Flat Cars! It headed north with CN painted IC GP40-2R #3117 at 1:32 p.m. Southbound train 533 with CN C44-9W #2585! Later, I photographed train 385 across a dirt field of the "New Factory!!!!" I had a great view of this train there in Warren! It had CN ES44DC #2201 and "BLUE" IC C40-8W #2457!!!! It had 136 cars, 4:55 p.m. I knew for a while it was heading south! I saw the "Green" signal from afar with my "Monocular!!!!"

I saw a pair of empty centerbeams in the yard. I'll bet the 3117's crew dropped them off just before I drove up. That would explain their presence on the east end of the yard.

Mistake: If the loco leading train 385 is indeed #2201, that would be a "DPU EQUIPPED" C44-9W!!!! There's only 6ix of those!!!!
