Thanks for the information!csx801 wrote:4 bay centerflows go to Petoskey (plastics). They usually run up there once a week. North of Cadillac, there are 5 customers I can think of. In TC they have Beacon, and Amerhart (Williamsburg). They have Petoskey plastics in Petoskey, Buzzi Unicem in Elmira, and one other customer that I believe loads butane near Kalkaska.MiRailProductions wrote:
Is Petoskey where the first few 4 bay centerflow hoppers are going? I knew that the 2 bays went to Elmira, but I've questioned for a while where those 4 bays go. I know this is somewhat of a noob question, but I don't know the northern division all too well.
Thanks for your information as wellAARR wrote:They also unload methanol in Kalkaska, East Jordan Plastics receives a carload or two of plastic per month from the team track in Mancelona, and every once in a great while logs will be shipped from Manton.
Wow. With that amount of cars, they should've brought a third loco up so that the '35 and the '38-2 didn't have to work so hard!csx801 wrote:Great Lakes Central working hard, headed back south through Mount Pleasant at 15:10.

Looks like there could be a lumber run to TC soon. I'll be at the TC train station to watch the action if the Cadillac boys gives a heads up.csx801 wrote:

Makes me wonder even more if that gon is going to Beacon... I hope someone is up in TC tomorrow to see.AANscaleRunner wrote:399 and 398 left Cadillac for Clare at 0900 with 1 pole load, 4 tie loads, 2 wood chip hoppers and 5 additional tie loads.
Returned at 1515.
GLC almost always blocks cars for Clare towards the front of the consist. If the loaded centerbeam is in the first block of cars, it is almost always for Letherer Truss.railroader and son wrote:There's a Truss plant in Clare that get's lumber often also.
