A northbound cleared the detector MP 34.2 at 2:01 PM. Have not heard train or engine numbers. I suspect this is 451.

292 axels.

A light engine just drifted NB past MP 22.5. Maybe a very short 391? It is about the usual time for it.

Well, I heard on my scanner what I thought was 391 (I could not catch the crew thru the static) About all I picked up was they were "engine light" Thought I heard the dispatcher say 391.

I went over to catch them at Williams Lake and caught CN 5791 engine light at 10:48 PM. Now I question whether I heard "391" or was the dispatcher just saying the engine number.

391 is ready to leave Pontiac as of about 9:20 p.m. CN 3048 leading. 391 is waiting on 502 to get into Pontiac before 391 heads North.

Edit to add:
CN 8922 502 just cleared the detector MP 34.2. at 11:01 PM. 448 axels.

502 and 391 will swap crews at Pontiac and 502 is not doing any work at Pontiac.

I am planning to catch 391as they head north.

One last edit to add:

I caught 391 at Williams Lake Rd at 11:40 PM. CN 3048 and CN 2885.

385? Has CN 8882 leading CN 5745 and something else. They had a warrant down the Mt. Clemens sub, but one axle on 5745 (axle 4) is locking up in reverse.

271 is also in Port Huron (and managed to clear the crossing at 16th Street- it didn't the last time I saw it come over). Power on 271 is CN 2662 and CN 2018. F/F.

385 is well on it's way down the Mt Clemens sub. There's also another train following, via radio blocking. I didn't get a symbol, but I think the last 3 digits of the lead unit are 662. There's a digit in front of that first 6, but it wasn't clear on the scanner.

At 7:40 pm I heard a NB running through downtown Pontiac. I guessed it was 391.

A Train 119 just passed MP 22.5 NB at 8:35 pm. 3000 and 3076 were the power. Long train: over a mile. This is becoming a common train. Are the still running a 533 on the Mount Clemens Sub?

Amtrak 352 followed behind him a bit late at 8:45 pm.

At 9 pm 2201 and 5407 came through past MP 22.5 with a SB. I presume this was 502. Short train.

I haven't heard about 533 not running anymore, but maybe they did what they did last week, which was to use 533's power for 119 instead of returning to PH? Usually, 533 runs with solo power, but it had two engines that day. Maybe they put two on 533 only if they're planning to run 119.

That second train was probably 271 going to Flat Rock, as it occasionally does.

119 is ready at Pontiac as of 11:27 PM. Bit of an update to the power, from what was reported south of Pontiac.

CN 3000,
CN 3076 ? It is 3079 sounded like 6 on scanner.
CN 8936
CN 8932

154 loads, 26 empty.
12086 feet long.
will be meeting 116 west of Durand.

Edit to add:

I caught 119 at Airport Rd at 11:47 PM. with 578 axels at the detector
MP 34.2.

I suspect they combined 391 and 119 tonight. had around 10/12 mixed freight cars before the intermodal.

Per ATCS looks like 116 holding east of Vernon for 119. Per the dispatcher 116 is over 10,000 feet tonight.

Locomotive 4901 went SB past MP 22.5 at 7:30 this morning with a long cut of loaded doublestacks. I presume this was the usual local train 950 with an unusual train. Maybe 116 was all doublestacks last night so no need to go to Flat Rock after setting off its containers at Moterm and they just died at Pontiac and 950 took them the rest of the way this morning? Maybe there is something going on with the movement of doublestacks out of Moterm what with all those 119's lately and combining them with 391's? Just speculating. Stay tuned as we will figure it out eventually. Probably just a fluke today.

Train 515 with 4929 SB past MP 22.5 at 11:30 am.

That 451 just passed MP 22.5 at 12:15 pm. Nice consist: Old, new and something in between.

Train 950 returning NB to Pontiac with 4901 and one tank car past MP 22.5 at 2:40 pm.

Train 515 returning to Pontiac NB past MP 22.5 with two cars at 4:42 pm.

At 7 pm I was driving on I 696 in Royal Oak going under the CN tracks and a SB doublestack was going by. It had a locomotive on the rear. This really adds to the current doublestack trains on the Holly mystery.
