CN Updates March 2017

382 is crawling south into the North Yard on the west track of the Clem. Couldn't see the numbers on the power or hear them since the scanner feed is still offline, but was lead by two CN's.

4912 just went SB past MP 22.5 at 10:25 am. I haven't been around this morning to see if 950 went by earlier (this is the usual time for 515 to go south) so I am presuming this is 515 though it didn't have any loaded bulkhead flats on it like it usually has.

At 12:30 pm I heard a train NB through Pontiac while I was there. My guess it was returning 950 from the sound of that loud horn and that the train I noted above was 515.

In CN Battle Creek, NS 9608 is resting near the fuel dock waiting to head west with a string of auto racks. GTW 5951, gray with yellow nose stripes, has been working BC lately, just came in eastbound a bit ago with a cut of 25 or so mixed cars, maybe from Pavillion/Kilgore? CN 5258 also working in the yard.

At 8 am Train 950 SB past MP 22.2 with 4901 and two tank cars.

At 11:05 am Train 515 SB past MP 22.5 with 4912.

At 12:26 pm Train 950 returning to Pontiac NB past MP 22.5.

At 1:41 Train 451 is NB past MP 22.5 with CN 2136 leading IC 3117 (a GP-40?).

What train in 438? Is this a new symbol? Did you possibly mean 384?

438 runs between Windsor and London, Ontario. Its likely not a new symbol but those of us in Michigan never see it anyway.

438 started to gather their cars at Van De Water Yard at 4.30pm. The CN 8852 was wyed at Walkerville Jct.

The Van De Water 1600 Job with the CN 7248 & Slug followed 438 on the Pelton Spur. They setoff 3 autoracks and some empty bulkheads at Walkerville Yard and brought 2 empty bulkheads to the Chrysler Spur.

391 passed Pontiac Amtrak at 7:35 PM w/ an SD70M-2 and C40-8. Still haven't seen 515 yet.

CN 8890 cleared the detector MP 34.2 northbound with 188 axels, at 9:10PM. Likely 391.
