M.D. it looks like the scrap metal loading spur at Ford Transmission in Sterling Heights is removed. I haven't seen gondola's there in a long time. Have you heard if the scrap metal service went to truck? Looks like all that's left there are they periodic tank car business (whatever that might be)
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

There are 2 tracks that are used for scrap, tk#1 -A and tk# 6. If you look at google maps, tk # 1-A is the southern most track in the plant and tk # 7 the northern most track. Omni source was handling all the scrap there. Ther send is where ever the get the most $$$$ , be it local or long distance.

Thanks, MD. They removed the scrap loading enclosed conveyor at the southwest corner of the building and I haven't seen a gondola since (I drive by a few times a month). Prior to, there were always gondolas on the south spur so I was curious.

RR 2 - (yard job) O/S "Conrail bridge" heading to Oakwood yard.

Now at Oakwood yard in the fuel rack, picking up some power for the "Rouge". That has been short on power due to JUNK engines. (THINK red headed step child ! :D )
