CSX Train Location Updates: 1/28/17
Re: CSX Train Location Updates: 1/28/17
From nature of radio traffic, sounds as if both N800 (8420) and N801 (6295) are active. Sounds as if 6295, lead engine of N801, pushed N800 (8420) up the hill. Now what...?

For the record, they are saying "3 step applied", not "resets".
"Remember, 4 mph is a couple, 5's a collision!"

Are you certain that they're saying N800 and N801? Decent chance that N801 is really D801. It's possible that both are N-jobs, but somewhat unlikely.train91 wrote:From nature of radio traffic, sounds as if both N800 (8420) and N801 (6295) are active. Decent chance that they used the head-end from the train in the siding at Wells to shove the new coal train.
As SD80MAC suggested, your quoting of "reset" is in fact three-stepping. A three step is a, well, 3-step process the engineer does to ensure (in theory) that the train does not move while the conductor is working on the train, in this case, the helper crew's conductor resetting the EOT on the rear so that the loads can continue on their way.
