Looks like Michigan Shore is pulling about ten loads of sand out of Lincoln right now.

GRE went through Ada around 10 to 7 this morning, earliest I've ever heard them.

Michigan Shore has been pulling large quantities of stored hoppers over the past week. Yesterday, they pulled 31 empties, Wednesday and Monday also had decent cuts of empties on the end of their train.

MQT just blew for 10 mile, sounded like 3406 in the lead. Clear as day from Rockford.

A friend sent me a photo of them leaving Muskegon. They were all stored 3 bay hoppers used for sand services. These have been in storage at Henry Street yard, and on the South Horn Spur to the former Sappi mill for the past few years.

Thanks. I was hoping they might be in Fremont Coop (now NorthCentral) in Fremont.

I am curious to see if the new facility that North Central is building in White Cloud will have an impact on their Fremont operations. Per my understanding, the facility is designed to handle the same commodities at greater volume. It is also only 15 miles away from their current location.

Does Fremont receive anything anymore? A few years ago there was an article that rail traffic was supposed to increase from 500 to 850 cars annually. I don't think they get 50 cars a year so I'm not sure where the info from the article came from :?

To the best of my knowledge, they are served maybe once a week. I've not been in the area in a while, so I don't know what they are doing now. Last I saw, they handled only a handful of cars per run.
