NB K226-27 clearing 9 Mile Rd. Never heard of that one. Sounded like CSX 449 leading.

Q321 clearing 7 Mile Rd (but he keeps calling out 322). CSX 5463 leading. ATCS is very confusing this morning - 2 northbounds and a southbound lined up in the Novi / Northville area. Tier4GEVO are you out there?

I wish, of course I forget to set my alarm the one day I wanted to get out early to enjoy weather. By interpreting ATCS, my best guess is there's a SB in Novi Siding waiting for a NB to pass by, who is either between Hix and Middle River, or before Hix -and in one of the glitchy areas that don't always work south of Wayne.

Q276 just went south at Wayne permission by the stop signal at Wayne Junction.

Time to get more confused! At 11:09 AM, "5463, NORTH on the main clear on a pair in Novi, 322 SOUTH out"

Whatever happened when you heard it at 7 Mile, 5463 was definitely northbound on 322. 480 axles and 6,784 feet long at Wixom Defect detector @ 11:30 AM.

Sitting at 12 mile, there is a NB in the novi siding. Southbound signal is red. Not sure of the number or what he is waiting on. It's 1215 now. He's been sitting awhile.

I believe that is the K226 from the first post this morning. He took the siding when Q321 made its way south.

Sounds like it's a coke train.. maybe getting a crew change.

Heard the voice of K226-17. Still in Novi siding. Still not leaving after the SB came. Same voice as this morning..

Also heard someone say "5463" on the scanner, which came on a train this morning, so who knows.

Amtrak P370-05 with AMTK 30 leading east has a clear indication at CG 135 and 133 at 20:24 EDT.
20 axles, 371 feet at Doran CG 131.3 DD at 20:28 EDT.

Cleared 7 Mile Rd. at 20:20. Southbound 88-car grain train pulled by 2 UP units, 7428 + 4296. Scanner silent for me as well. From a recent Facebook post, I learned this train originated on the LSRC at the grain facility in Standish.

A bit earlier, maybe an hour? something southbound came down to the area where 226 is sitting, and did not proceed any farther on ATCS. Maybe that is the 5463 you were hearing.

5463 definitely went north this afternoon, so your scenario theoretically is possible. What a confusing day on such a usually straight forward line.

Family tells me a freight train was stopped blocking Stevensville on 11/5 at around 17:00 EDT... Not sure what was going on.
