CN Updates November 2016

[Robertrains]

With fellow friend "Mazon" today (11-25) at "The Up Place" off Mary Street, Mt. Clemens!!!! Local 524 came onto the siding (around 2:15 p.m.) with CN painted GTW GP38-2 #5844! It reversed ends of one empty "Center Beam" Flat Car─waited for southbound 533! That train came, 2:48 p.m., with ES44DC #2244 and five loaded "Well Car" sets!!!!

GTW 4916 good to head north from Pontiac. 8:29 AM.

I caught GTW 4916 (in CN paint) at Williams Lake Rd. at 8:44 AM.

I am thinking this to be train 514 returning to Flint.

Local combined 950/515 went south with 4925 around 8:30 am this morning past MP 22.5 on the Holly.

Train 451 is just rolling north with UP 4255 and UP 4711 leading CN 2312.

Caught train 280 at Airport Rd. 1:55 PM BNSF 4778 leading.

That 280 Jim reported on just went SB past MP 22.5 at 3 pm. Short train. Missed the power.

Sounds like 391 has 2123 leading tonight. Should be in Pontiac by now (7:30 PM).

533, CN 2244, is clear of Nolan. Will wait for Amtrak to go through Milwaukee Jct before wying the power.

I had a train go by the detector MP 34.2 646 axels. Being curious as to which train this was, I headed down to the Pontiac yard to have a look. Still don't have a guess as to which the train number is. but here are the engine numbers.

CN 8816
CN 2248
CN 8874
CN 2501
CN 2301

I did have the thought that this train could be a re-route off the Mt. Clemons sub, but being this train was working the yard there at Pontiac, I now don't think it was.

I caught 451 at Williams Lake Rd. at 2:50 PM. they had 5 engines on 451 today. I am now 2 for 2, with trains with 5 engines.

CN 8816, CN 2248, CN 8874, CN 2501, CN 2301

It was two different trains when I saw them on the Shared Assets in Detroit. They were running about 10 minutes apart.

CN 8816 and 2248 were on the first train, which was mostly autoracks. The 8874, 2501, and 2301 were on the train with the sand cars.

385, CN 5693, is clear of Nolan. CN 2244 is okay on the west track from the Junction to Nolan.

OK, I worked the MTM station, Mt Clemens and saw two southbound trains!!!! They both came "Faster" than I wanted─did not photograph!!!! 533 had CN ES44DC #2244 and three loaded "Well Car" sets, 1:35 p.m. Train 385 had three locos─CN SD75I #5693, Blue IC C40-8W #2456? and a CN GE loco! Man I wish I was on the other side to get that "Rare Blue" IC C40-8W!!!!

Yes, CN has SD70M-2 locos numbered through 8964!!!!

But the CN???? was just my way of saying, that there was a second CN engine but had just missed the numbers.
