Woke up and heard the horn. Scanner sounded like 585, too many numbers for me to pick out a symbol, though it is most likely non-mixed freight.SW wrote:Northbound clearing 7 Mile Rd. Sounded like CSX 585 leading.

D90624, BNSF 6105+8521. 162 cars. D707s crew on board when you saw it. Re-crewed at Williamston despite the best laid plans of the original crew going from GRP to Plymouth and back to GRP in 12 hours. D90824 was right behind them, but had to return to Webberville to bring their one unit (5239) back to G010 who was putting together a load at Webberville when one of theirs went belly up. Then, when they could still only make it to Howell even with extra power because what they had would still not pull the train, another re-crew got and brought SD50-2 2497 from the east somewhere and are currently "tieing" on to their train at Burkhart Road. Train now known as G85824.Dan Cluley wrote:A long westbound with a pair of BNSF locos at Trowbridge at 03:26

M322-25 still at Wixom Siding.
As of 6:45 AM on Oct. 26, he is leaving the siding to continue north.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - 10/25/2016
This evening was extremely busy in Plymouth for a short period of time. Starting at 4:00PM: D716-26 went south with one of CSX's newest GP40-3s (first one ever seen doing locals in Plymouth) with 1 boxcar for Home Depot in Romulus. He met Northbound D739-26 at CP John Hix, then had to stop af Wayne Junction for NS train B18 and outbound 39E to clear the diamond before continuing south. D739 returned to Plymouth with no cars. Power was CSX 2343 slug leading it's "mother". Shortly after 739 cleared, G858 that was mentioned earlier came into Plymouth with an approach signal down the Long Lead from the Southwest Wye in order to meet northbound Q150-26 who was running up Hix Siding to keep both trains moving. This is the first time I have seen the Long Lead used since the abolishment of Q334/335 who were the only trains that would often use it to keep clear of any Flint or Detroit trains, especially back when times were better. Northbound Q150 met G858 at Main Street. Power on G858 was CSX 2497 (set off from last night's D908 as mentioned earlier) trailing was CSX 7796 (YN2), CSX 87 (YN2), and CSX 5239. The train had lots of neat ex-Rock Island, CNW, Ann Arbor, and DRGW covered hoppers. Q150 had CSX 601 "The Spirit of Waycross" leading CSX 5412. It was a short train today out of North Baltimore and lots of empty well cars towards the rear of the train. After both trains cleared, D737-26 went on duty and was building their train in North Yard until D717-26 showed-up from Detroit. D717 met D738 in Livonia who followed 717 back to East Yard after finishing work in Middlebelt Yard. D717 made it to Plymouth at 5:30 PM. Power was CSX 6290 leading the mother-slug set and 9 mixed freight cars for North Yard. D738's power was unknown, but had 4 cars for East Yard. D714 had to make a rare run to Plymouth with 2 hot autoracks for East Yard. I didn't stick around for that train, but they let him go ahead of 322 who was in Romulus at the time. Pretty good evening in Plymouth with all this action in just under 2 hours!
