A long eastbound is almost to Davison right now. Not sure which units are leading. This is on the Flint Sub.

Re: CN Updates November 2015
Noticed a westbound intermodal (149?) backed into the yard at Port Huron about 11:35 this morning. I wasn't sure if it had locomotive problems or not, as there was power on the west end of the train, but at least one unit was not connected to the rest of the power. The west end of the train was on Track 1, with the rest of the cars in the yard either picking up cars or setting some out. When I recrossed the tracks a little after noon, there was a blue and white leaser sitting on the west end of track 1, and no intermodal in sight. I think the remaining loco was #2269. The first observation was made from the Michigan Road overpass, the second from eastbound I-94, and I was lucky to see the engine number. I didn't catch the company name on the long hood, but it looked like it could've been a LLPX paint job. I did note that the only unit I could see actually attached to the intermodal was one of the ex-CNW Dash 8s CN picked up a few years ago (2000 series).

Sounds like it was GMTX 2269, which is ex-LLPX 2269, exx-IC 3114, exxx-IC 3027 that you sawGreatLakesRailfan wrote:When I recrossed the tracks a little after noon, there was a blue and white leaser sitting on the west end of track 1, and no intermodal in sight. A westbound freight passed through Belsay at 4:55. Could've been the train mentioned above.

Eastbound waiting at East Durand, has 4 locomotives on the point. Sounds like 398(?).
2928 and 2971 (f/r) eastbound, at Durand, to head south on the Holly Sub.

Re: CN Updates November 2015
No it wouldn't have been. If Q144 was WB on the Flint sub this morning, it wouldn't have been it. Was a mixed freight that passed Durand about 10 minutes ago.GTWwatcher wrote:A westbound freight passed through Belsay at 4:55. Could've been the train mentioned above.

Re: CN Updates November 2015
398 apparently has a EOT problem. Supposed to be getting a replacement right now. From the sound of things, 398's actually somewhere near the siding at Lapeer. Sounds like there's a CSX train close to 398's rear end. As a result of 398's problems, there are at least 4 trains on the Flint Sub stopped. Desk 8 suggested pulling the train to Imlay City to replace the EOT, which led us to believe 398's actually in Lapeer. I suspect the train reported at E Durand is actually 394.

Re: CN Updates November 2015
Today, 11-8, I went to work the M.T.M.® station in Mt. Clemens! Northbound train 524 was on the siding! It went north at 1:20 p.m. with CN painted GTW GP9r #4616 and two cars!!!! Later, at 3:23 p.m., came southbound train 533! It had CN C40-8 #2108 and 13 loaded "Well Car" sets!!!!
Also, at the old vacant Gulf Oil® factory on Mary street, there was a deer running around! It was within the fens, then "Busted" through and ran north up the tracks!!!!

4616 was on yesterday's L524 as well, but they had 4 TBOX cars when they got back to Port Huron.

Sorry, I meant to put eastbound, not westbound. Understood, I didn't know that that train was WB this morning.Evan wrote:No it wouldn't have been.
