Well looks like you might be right james, the DGVR (NYC) 48 is no longer on ozark mountian railcar, and the car has been moved down the track a few car lenghts west

Image

So i think it is quite possible that 39e might have been trying to pick her up last night

one more shot

Looks like she is bound for the Durbin And Greenbrier Valley Railroad. It's a tourist operation out of Elkins, West Virginia. Looks to be operated by the Buckingham Branch Railroad and of note, they are the same one's that own those WM F7A's and the BL2. Should be a good home to the old NYC tail car.

Here is the DGVR's website: http://mountainrailwv.com/

Crap! I drove past it last night on my way home from downtown Ann Arbor. I was wondering if that car was ever sold and thought about taking pictures of it. I regret that I didn't.

Was in the old hometown of Belleville Saturday evening and heard several trains in a couple hours on the Wabash. Whats the average number of trains on that line per day?

If a train goes by and no one hears it, is there really a train :?: Sorry, couldn't resist.
