CSX Train Location Updates - June 2023

L302-27 by Howell at 17:20. 844 +3169 on the head end. Counted 87 cars but may have mesed up looking at the unusual lettered gondola car I had never seen before, prior to the 50th car. L305 left all 70 cars in the Howell passing that GLC set off this morning at 06:30. The 53 cars they brought for GLC was left in the Brighton siding.

L301-27 @ 17:36 eastward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 82 axles. CSX engine #4070 (solo) & 19 cars. He has work for Standale Lumber mp CG6.5 The CSX #6045 was leading eastward when they had gone into Holland. Now that #4070 is leading, makes me think they had set off #6045 inside Waverly/Holland.

This is R597-27 @ 19:20 he was westward at the Holland Depot mp CG25.3 He’ll take Wells Siding mp CG41.4 & tie down & then pickup C800-26 that had tied down in Grand Jct siding mp CG54 today.

Thanks for photographing the "F e TRADING" gondola, bluewonderrails. Thats the car! All that large lettering across the top got my attention and I did not even notice it was an ITFX car. Was also glad to hear that I gave you a heads up on the blue 3194 Spirit Of Law Enforcment Unit in time to get to Webberville to photograph that too on the G804 train. To bad it was pouring rain by that time.

C801 @ 19:51 eastward was reported by DD mp CG131.3 in Doran, IN. The data was too scratchy to understand. Dispatcher advised him he's to take New Buffalo siding mp CG116.5 until Amtrak P370 clears by.

Correct. I mentioned that to someone before seeing this reply, knowing it was early last year. March 15th to be exact. Lead G801 then with 5220 trailing. Ran in the evening so lighting was key for those like me out for the best possible view.

M327-28 between 04:25/04:55 Grand Rapids, Mi job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #3014 + #9041 & 144 cars (67 loads + 77 empties) @ 11,190 tons & 8,476 feet long. He’s doubling up his train & will follow Amtrak P371 out of Grandville mp CG6.0
