You sure they’re spinning the 8181? 301’s power usually always faces east, and 8181 is facing east so it seems like it would be strange for them to go out of their way to spin it.

You sure they’re spinning the 8181? 301’s power usually always faces east, and 8181 is facing east so it seems like it would be strange for them to go out of their way to spin it.

That’s what I heard. They’ll spin the power around. Towers answer to what CSX #8181 was used for wasn’t very confident

L302-19: 7205 +4583 WB past GR Airport at 11:00pm. Funny that I could hear it grinding way off in the distance, but I could not hear her blow for crossings!

At Ann Pere today, L305-19 sandwiched their power between a cut of 37 cars left by GLC, and a cut of 54 to be left for GLC.
They shoved the pickups east out of the siding and were headed west by 16:52 or so, meeting L303-19 at Fowlerville.

After L303-19, with their 5 cars passed me at 17:49, AmeriGas joined the fun, refilling the tank for the transfer track switch but not the EE of the siding. L302-19 was next, that MAC trailer was a surprise, they had 17 cars east of Lansing this afternoon, passing at 18:17.

8:21, P371-20 past the defect detector at 91.9. 16 axles, IDTX 4628 and three Horizon cars (1 cafe, 2 coach). A few minutes late on account of a slow signal at the bridge—the dispatcher was late to line it up after the bridge closed.

Y106-20 @ 9:44 am had their Job Briefing with RN Dispatcher in Grand Rapids, MI: CSX #6544 + CSX #2008 with 12 cars (12 loads and 0 empties), 1,500 tons and 700 feet long. He has 2,200 liters of gas on the leader, and 1,700 liters of gas on the trail. He has work at Fox mp 141.3 and will head back west to Grandville.
