This empty Coke Train just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly SB. Only SB freight train so far today. That train parked on the mainline at MP 22.5 is still there. That SB general freight reported at Holly earlier this morning must be stuck at Pontiac Yard.

Amtrak 350 had a P42 on each end today instead of the usual Chargers. Just passed MP 22.5 at 2:40 pm.

Basically tying up Main 2 between Detroit and Ferndale. I saw it last night and presumed it just died or there was congestion in Pontiac Yard or it was waiting for Amtrak 355 to depart Pontiac before it proceeded. But it is still there this morning, covered with frost. All the regular freight trains have been running here on the Holly during the CN strike in Canada.
There are at least three of them stacked up between Opdyke and 14 mile. All have been there since early Friday morning.

Just talked to someone at Trowbridge that heard the dispatcher this morning complaining that there are so many tie-downs it’s clogging the rails.

The first day of the canada strike I was hearing them say that until it was over all traffic would be moving on a priority basis. Any non essential traffic would be tied down ufn.

The southbound this afternoon was 502. I Heard them on the scanner working at Durand this morning.

Those trains tied down on the Holly are;

CN 5732 and BCOL 4611 at Opdyke Road.
CN 5733, 2562 and 5780 at Charing Cross.
CN 2606 and 5752 at Troy.
CN 5729 tied down at Scott Lake Road (West Pontiac).

GTW6401 - are these 4 tied down trains on the Holly Sub Northbounds, Southbounds, or a mix?

Thanks.

Looks like 591 is NB passing MP 22.5 with seven (or more) locomotives.

I would say all the three tied down locomotives on the Holly south of Pontiac are all NB's as they are all lined up on Main 2 and the northernmost one is a NB.

Northbound train by Linden at 5:25am.

Too dark to see what it was.

UPDATE: By the detector at 59.9 at 5:32am with only 52 axles, so short one for sure.
