CN Train Location Updates - October 2022

251 through Trenton at 11:25 CN x2 as usual

Passing through Bloomfield Hills, entering Pontiac at 3:22 pm. It had three brand new black TLPX bathtub gondolas marked "Trillium" on the head end. Not a very long train.

SB Container/Rack train just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly at 4 pm. Two CN's. Probably either 508 (a bit early) or a 116.

NB 515 passing MP 22.5 on the Holly with a long train that included another new UP 71000 series boxcar and two or three bulkhead flats with aluminum ingots on it, something we don't see too often on the Holly at 5:19 pm.

Train 507 was past MP 22.5 at around 6:30 pm with two CN's, some headend stuff and a medium sized cut of containers.

06:12 - WB rack train pulled by two SD75I's (5669 and 5655) by Bouge St. MP 225. DD at 219.5 reports 270 axles.

They crept by Bouge St. as they were held up by CSX's L302-19, also headed west, who had beat them to Trowbridge diamond. The Harrison Rd crossing on CN's side of things was blocked off this morning in preparation for replacement. Nothing but racks, I had heard on the radio that they had gone through two or three EOTs before leaving Flint, not finding a working one.

SB Train 515 with 5450 again today just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly at 7:38 am on its way to work. In the darkness I noticed that it had an Ontario Northland RR boxcar again.

10:45 - R934 w CN 5346 is EB @ Waverly Rd. on the Lansing Thorofare headed to the JAIL interchange power light.

Crawling up the Hill in the wet falling snow, passing MP 22.5 at 2:53 pm, a 5700 leading a 5600 today.

NB Train 515 passing MP 22.5 at 4:05 pm on its way back to Pontiac Yard with a medium length train including a GTW blue boxcar again and an unrepainted Conrail one.

Late Durand updates:

8:50pm - EB to SB with CN and CSX for power, and a long train of mostly autoracks with three double stack wells on the end.

9:00pm - WB mixed freight with 2 CNs for power.

9:15pm - Another EB to SB with a solo UP for power and all autoracks.

Non CN bonus: 9:42pm - NB GLC with three engines (3rd being 393) and 21 cars.

It was hard to tell, but it looked like most if not all of the racks on both southbounds were empty. Flat Rock in severe need of autoracks I take it?
