Re: GLC Train Location Updates - February 2025
Came up to Traverse City via Cadillac and Waldron Jct today. Anyone with some free time in the next couple days to railfan the north end of the GLC will find the most rewarding scenery - 6”+ of fresh snow dropped yesterday covering rails and plowed up high at road crossings! Evergreen trees looking marvelous! Not much time for railfan detours heading up north but I did note many large black tankcars visible in Cadillac along with shortie covered hoppers, and another long cut of shortie hoppers in the pass at Waldron junction.
We head back south on Tuesday, perhaps we will see something along the way…

Nothing had cleared the rails north of M-113 on either the GR&I main or the TC branch as of 14:00 today. Still pretty even with no train in sight!
