L303-08 @ 13:13 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CH126.3 Clarksville, Mi with 208 axles. CSX engines #912 + #5452 & 49 cars (19 loads + 30 empties) @ 3,250 tons & 2,709 feet long. He has work for Lansing - final destination is Detroit. The #5452 was the solo power on today's W047-08.

6085 is working the dock track in Kollen Park. Someone is in a festive mood as they’ve placed large tulips on the locomotive and caboose. I imagine this is meant to calm the nerves of those trapped in their cars at the River Ave crossing. The particular flavor of artistic horn-work demonstrated by the engineer is also appreciated.

Y121-08 @ 14:49 eastward Dock Track to Main Track, Holland, Mi mp CG25 with CSX engine #6085 & 5 Gons loaded with scrap & the OLS Caboose. He’ll back westward to the Holland Depot signal mp CG25.4 & then head eastward into the Holland Pass Track mp CG25.3

CSX M510-08 passed Deshler Cam and heading north @ 11:44 ET time with CSX #5436 + CSX #5430 elephant style and roughly 70 cars

17:29 - G076-07 currently sitting at Joy Rd. CC 84.22 with 3288, 710, and 98 on the head end. Their tail end is visible at Lilley Rd. in case anyone wants to do the math.

Power on L302-08 today is 5466 + 543 with its 110 car train. Now west of Fowlerville at 18:22. I need someone to take a photograph of the lead unit, 5466 for me yet today or sometime tomorrow regardless of if continues on to Chicago or returns on L303-09 tomorrow. I reported this as a new YN3c repaint back on 4-22-24 at 11:50 on the "Railfanning Information" link. (no one commented) I had seen this on a rail camera but had yet to come across a photograph. Also, I see I was right regarding G077-05 having 98 & 710 for power on May 6th that previously no one had seen what was 98 on this train. I reported this on 5-6 at 9:33 am. (no one commented on that either) The pair returned with 3288 leading on G076 this morning. Another thing I have not seen reported yet is that the new large lettered CSX gondola cars have been used more and more hauling scarp tie loads for GLC at Ann Pere. Have now noticed they are getting well graffitied being used in this service. L302-08 had quite a few of them on today.

CSX 5466 is a very shiny repainted engine and I forgot to take a screenshot of that engine on M510-07 yesterday . Not sure why CSX 5480 has a DPU sticker from my 04-13-24 post

Lead unit on L303-08 today was 912, from yesterday's L302-07. It has been listed as 918 all day. L303 had 92 cars if I counted right at Howell despite only having 49 cars leaving GRP.

L301-08 @ 19:50 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #4057 + #2428 & 10 cars (5 loads + 5 empties) @ 822 tons & 771 feet long. He’ll head westward for work at Buzzi Cement mp CG5.2 & then he’ll go into Waverly mp CG22.8 & when done there he'll head back east to Grand Rapids.

L301-08 @ 21:00 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 68 axles. CSX engines #4057 + #2428 & 14 cars. He’s headed into Waverly mp CG22.8 & will be turning there to head back east to Grand Rapids.

R597-08 on 05/08 @ 23:04 copied their EC1 to depart Grand Jct mp C54 & head eastward to the power plant in West Olive, Mi with BNSF engine #6270 & CSX engines #7381 + #858 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #5762 @ 18,551 tons & 7,112 feet long. This was C800-07 that had tied down there early in the morning on 05/08.

M327-09 on 05/09 @ 05:05 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #5320 + mid dpu CSX engine #5270 & 148 cars (73 loads + 75 empties) @ 11,862 tons & 8,608 feet long. These engines are from Tuesday’s M326-07. He’s building his train.

R597-08 @ 05:56 revised their EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive, Mi mp CGP 1.0 & diverge onto the Fremont sub-div & head south to the Grand Rapids sub-div in Holland, Mi with BNSF engine #8469 & 130 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #5976 & CSX engines #858 + #7381. He’ll be taking Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & tie down.

Amtrak P371-09 @ 06:40 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 in Zeeland, Mi with 20 axles. IDTX engine #4617 & 4 cars (AmCafé + 2 Venture Coaches + Venture Business).

M327-09 @ 06:53 westward reported from Grandville, Mi mp CG6.0 with a Medium Clear signal. CSX engine #5320 + mid dpu CSX engine #5270 & 148 cars (73 loads + 75 empties) @ 11,862 tons & 8,608 feet long. These engines are from Tuesday’s M326-07. He may have added 3 more loaded cars to his consist, will have to wait for his DD19.1 report will verify.
