There was a post about those intermodal tables over the weekend. A special train symboled 59A brought them up for storage on Sunday.

Did 59A actually come to Lansing or did B-30 or B-28 bring them

Yes, 59A came all the way here, I think. Its lone locomotive (NS 9743) went back south on B28 the next day, though.

They come up from time to time. It's not entirely unusual. About 8 years ago there was an SD80MAC that came to town for a day.

This is my life. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

If this is a problem get used to it.

If they brought them up here (Lansing) then I think that they will be around for awhile. If they are what I think they are (and I don't know for sure) they are most likely cars being stored for TTX. TTX has been looking all over the country for places to put cars until they can be re-built for a new purpose or wait long enough for company policy to allow them to scrap the cars.

On a side note, I have seen a SD70M-2 on the Lansing Secondary.

I went up and took a look. As I suspected they are the cars that are currently being phased out of service with TTX.

Didn't look like it, although it's starting to get over grown and I didn't want to trespass so I didn't much more than the spline sets.
