CSX Train Location Updates - December 2023

Amtrak 48 was running just under 40 minutes late past Porter, they had added an extra P42 to the train in Chicago as a rescue engine for P370. I guess it was decided that it was not needed, they did not stop to drop it off. As of 00:30 ET, P370 is still stopped in Porter. Throughout the system currently, 8 of the 64 active trains are in service disruption!



01:40 ET Edit - P370 is lined and has the signal onto the CSX from NS Porter Siding. They have had the signal since around 01:15, but they have yet to knock it down.

Per the Dispatcher @ 05:12 talking to R598, a loaded coal train was eastward at Michigan City mp CG127.2

Amtrak P371-19 @ 07:39:42 westward N. Center St crossing Bangor, Mi mp CG60.35 IDTX engine #4615 & 5 cars (2 Venture Coaches + NE Regional AmCafe + Venture Coach + Venture Business). He did not stop at Bangor nor at Holland this morning, he just cruised on thru the stations at regular speed. Heard he'll be making the St Joseph station stop, but had said no passengers on his train, everyone is on a bus today.

L301-19 @ 10:04 Grand Rapids, Mi job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #4003 + #8066 & 11 cars (6 loads + 5 empties) @ 918 tons & 858 feet long. He has work for Buzzi Cement mp CG5.2 & then he’ll go into Waverly mp CG22.8 & later westward to Hartford mp CG68.7 & will runaround his train at Kirk mp CG70.2 to head back east.

Note: from a conversation heard between M327 & C801 for the Plymouth sub-division, there's a Potash train parked in Plymouth to run tonight to Webberville, thy conveyor belt repairs in Webberville should be completed today. Also, a Grain train for Grand Ledge tomorrow night.

M326 with CSX 5297 leading east has an Approach indication at Hilltop at 11:42 ET. 440 axles at the 91.9 DD. Sounded like there was a DPU roaring on the rear.

Not 121, they are on the dock track. More likely track equipment.
