A SB 513 with 4805 and a couple cars just passed MP 22.5 at 5:50 pm following Amtrak 355 down the Hill.
NB 513 past MP 22.5 at 8 pm returning to Pontiac.

Per ATCS as of this post, another train NB from Holly Sub is curving WB onto the Flint. Possible X491 is all that comes to mind

L500 with 2 CN is departing Cory Yard in Lansing EB after work. Entered with just 5 cars

It had to have been X491. Since it had the same setup as E251 since X491 is pretty much an extra 251. (I checked the Durand Railcam). Also there's something lined up behind that which is probably L507.

I thought the same thing when this train went by my house around 8:15 pm last night. I didn't look at it but it was long and seemed to have a lot of autoracks (I can tell by the banging they tend to make). It didn't seem like a 507 which usually runs at this time.

And right afterwards what I presume was 508 went past. And right after that what I presume was 507. So with these trains and a SB and NB 513 last night it was a busy hour or so on the South Holly last night.

Yesterday/last night what I thought was E251 with CSX #3040 + CN #5707 (all auto, 70 of 'em) was an X393 to Chicago. Usually '393' originates out of Battle Creek, but supposedly gave it the symbol earlier. This set of power was Sunday's Q116.

The late train I thought was X491 was a super late E251 with CN #3842 on point as heard on radio. Likelihood was #8024 trailing. This set of power was Monday's Q116.

Let me know when they’re on the move, if possible.

A NB just rolled by past MP 22.5. Didn't catch the power. It looked like 251 but that was reported by earlier today. No containers and didn't look like a 507 otherwise so let's call it an Extra 251 unless someone knows otherwise.

Just saw it at Opdyke Road. Probably X491 with 8808 leading 8814 trailing.

S756 Sand Train, cool!

We need more of those. They were running pretty regular last year or the year before, and haven't seen one in a while.

Anyone know origin / destination?

NS Main through Elkhart has quite a few Sand Train symbols that run through there, not all every day, but seems like there is at least a couple per day anyway.

So now I'm wondering if our occasional S756 trains are overflow from the NS, maybe when NS doesn't have enough crews? Or maybe CN does have one of the contracts, but they just run as needed?

Who knows honestly. That could be true though. S756 seems to run at least once a year nowadays.
