L305-07 replaced 8849 with 8350 today to run with 4014. Currently east of Howell at 18:15 to run around their train in Brighton. They may leave more GLC cars there because they apparently have no plans to pick up the cars in the Howell pass left by GLC on Friday.

I personally find that sort of comical, even if they didn't have a restriction, I doubt they'd ever go 40 between Bangor and GR.

There are 45 & 50 mph max speed limits for freights between Bangor & Grand Rapids and having only 55 cars I would think they could easily exceed 40 mph in those zones.

Sure, there’s a lot of slow downs between Bangor and GR, including Sauggy hill, Holland, etc. But a train of that size definitely will be hitting 50 (or close to it) when they can. They sure do fly by down here on my end of the line, even the 36,000,000 lbs loaded coal trains.

50 is the top speed for freight on the GR sub (where possible). Amtrak runs 65 most of the way, but does hit 79 east of Porter for a bit.
