SB Stack Train passing MP 22.5 at 5:28 pm with a UP locomotive (7800?) and an ex CSX PREX 769 (?). The DS snuck him out in front of soon to depart Amtrak 355 and he must have been on Main 2 as he was going pretty fast. Odd time for a Stack Train on a Monday.

The Stack Train is creeping by Raven leaving the passengers waiting for Amtrak very confused.

L533S by South Mount at 18:41. GTW 4929/GTW 4934, 4 empty centerbeams, 92 containers. Been running back to back units the past week - saving time turning the power at Milwaukee Jct. Nice to hear them growling, up out of the Clinton and Belle River valleys on the long grades, but they are struggling making track speed with the long and heavy NB 533N at night. You can hear them coming a suburb away. Harkens back to the old days west of Durand listening to multiple Geep 38's cranking east out of the Shiawassee dip...

You know, I never did see Amtrak 353 and wondered what happened. I wasn't home at 8 am today. Why did it leave so early today?

Amtrak 351 seems to be leaving Pontiac five minutes or so later lately. Today it was followed down the Hill by a freight train. I was thinking maybe 116 but from what I could see in the dark it was all mixed freight and more of a Mount Clemens Sub train with a lot of jumbo covered hoppers and tank cars than the typical Holly Sub. train. Two locomotives. Maybe a reroute?

Train 950 almost snuck by me just now at 9 am going SB. It looked like he had a black locomotive today instead of blue 4632.

The are doing track work for the second week in Pontiac at the Woodward Ave crossing and often have one main tied up.
