CN 2272 & cowl 2421 with an eastbound stack train through East Lansing at 00:56.

Awfully early for 148, but it didn't have any mixed freight like 116 usually has.

Last night a 148 segment was through around midnight. Did you notice any 53' equipment on it?

I didn't specifically notice container lengths, however according to the dispatcher on the Durand feed that was 148. Looks like their schedule has changed a little.

391 just through East Lansing at 01:50 with a pair of UP engines.

L533S, CN 2647, has just departed Mount Clemens for East yard and Moterm with several auto parts boxes and a string of stacks. It appears that for the time being, both Metro Aluminum and FCA are utilizing the vast complex, with the parts cars being largely UP and SP boxes and some NS (a fairly clean Conrail billboard can opener logo pulled today). The plant is now switched daily by L533 and when needed, L524.

Thanks MoW. What kind of box cars are the auto parts being shipped in?

Well, there have been a some variants, but most that I have seen have been 60' (60' - 9") high cube, Plate F, plug doors - 100 tons. These western cars just started coming in during the past several days - not sure yet what's coming in and what's going out - but they're busy...

A440 and A441 met at Elkhart yard 8:40 pm. A441 has a possible heritage unit 3821 with a logo on the front end. Train departed Elkhart then was pushed back after 2825 had a transmission blow

I was around Pontiac Yard from 8:30 until 10:30 and didn't see the locals. Maybe they got out early today. There is a long string of loaded center beams and plastic pellets/chemicals for Warren.

M385 dusting the Mount Clemens depot at 50mph. CN/CN, 97 cars. 18:08. I believe L533 finished work in Mount Clemens and headed back to Port Huron today, meeting 385 at New Haven.
